What We Do

Our commitment to Youth

While Kiwanis International takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty worldwide, The Kiwanis Club of Staunton is focused on supporting youth in the Staunton and Augusta County areas. Our Kiwanis members are generous with their time through our community projects which include marshaling the Staunton Christmas parade, coordinating the Staunton Babe Ruth Baseball program at Gypsy Hill Park since 1947, and assisting with the Model General Assembly for Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County, where students participate in mock state government. Kiwanis members are passionate about making a difference in our community, and we have fun along the way!

Empowering experiences

For more than a century, Kiwanis has created opportunities for children to be curious, safe and healthy regardless of the community in which they live. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things can happen. Locally we embrace our parent organization’s goals and help empower youth and create communities where they are safe and can lead healthy lives.

Thousands of kids have played baseball in our program since 1946.

Child safety

We have provided thousands of these stickers to Augusta Health to give to new parents to place on their child’s car seats.

We gather

Our weekly lunch meetings are held each Thursday at The Club at Ironwood. Meetings include updates of club activities, Happy Dollars, and a guest speaker from the community. If you would be interested in making a presentation to our club click here.

Please join us as a guest and experience first hand who we are and what we do.
